GCA BBQ a Huge Success

We had our annual BBQ on April 5 & 6...the weather was great, the food was delicious, and the fellowship was a blessing.  A huge thank you goes out to John Heimburger who helped coordinate this event and to all the many volunteers who helped!  You are such a blessing and we could not have done this without you! 

We had beautiful weather too...thank you God!!!  Our grillers didn't mind one bit spending the day out there for us!

We served in the atrium at Grace Church and we had a lot of people interested in our delicious BBQ!

Again, thanks to those who bought, ate, served, and donated to our BBQ...it was a blessing!  A special thanks to Schnucks Markets and Middendorf Meats for their donations...their donations were a blessing!

         Sunshine Ministries Cereal Drive

GCA had a wonderful cereal drive for the food pantry at Sunshine Ministries!  From February 4-15th we collected dry cereal to send down to Sunshine Ministries.  Sunshine is a shelter for men in the city of St. Louis that helps to grow them spiritually and vocationally.  They also have a food pantry for those in need and their cereal supply is bone dry.  We had a contest between the classes and it was so much fun!  The school as a whole brought in 509 boxes of cereal...our goal was 300!  Great job GCA students and their parents for their giving hearts!  On 3/6 the 8th grade class took the cereal down to the mission, sorted the boxes, and offered their services...we love to see our students serving God in the community!  Mrs. O'Hearns Pre Kindergarten class brought in the most boxes with 88, our 8th graders came in second with 51, and the 7th grade came in third with 69 boxes.  Note, we figure our totals on a per capita basis.  Thanks again for a very successful service project!  Go God, Go GCA!  Please take a look at some of the pictures from the day on our "GCA Kids Serving Others" page!

GCA Annual Trivia Night

This was an incredible night of fellowship, food, and trivia!  We had so much fun at this event and had another great turn out!  Tables worked as teams to answer 10 categories of fun questions...our Trivia Night has always been fun and challenging but this year it was the most fun ever! 

A huge thank you goes out to our Trivia Night committee:  John & Barb Brooks, Sharon Wills, Jerry & Sharon Kramer, Joe & Kathy Winkelmann.  We would also like to thank all of you who helped out throughout the evening to make it a great success:  Randy Unger, Pam Quattrocchi, Barb & Kurt Emert, Michael & Michaela O'Hearn, Angela Jessie, Dameras Makando, Karen Baker, Cindy Fry & Gwen Garthe.  Also, a big thanks to all of you who helped clean up after the event...we did it in record time!

Many prizes were given out throughout the evening along with our class donated theme raffle baskets!  Thank you to all of those who donated prizes so generously to help make this event the best ever!  What a great success they were...thanks to all of you who donated the items for these wonderful baskets!  You are amazing! 

Prospective Student Open House

Come and see what we have to offer!  Our Open House was Sunday, January 27th from 12:30 - 2:30pm.  We had a great showing at our Open House but if you are a prospective parent looking for quality Christian education for your children, then come and check us out.  We would love to see you, share our mission with you, and show off our wonderful staff and facility to you.  If you have any questions about GCA please travel around this site and/or call our office (314-291-6933)...we are here to serve you!

Open Enrollment for the 2008-09 School Year !

Registration for returning students begins February 1st!  Make sure you fill out the registration packet and get it in right away as classes fill up quickly.  These packets will be available at the end of January.  Registration for new students will be Friday, February 15th.  Don't wait to register your child, contact GCA to set up an appointment today! Tours of the school are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Prospective students are encouraged to spend a day at Grace Christian Academy. Contact the office 314-291-6933 for more details and to schedule a date. GCA Fall Festival

Our Fall Festival was Sunday, October 14th from noon until 4:00 in the Grace Church Gymnasium!  We had game booths, a cake walk, clowns, great food, and prizes!  A great time was had by all!

GCA Benefit Golf Tournament

Our tournament was an amazing success!  We had 105 golfers and more than enough prizes to go around for everyone!  It was a beautiful day and the golf and fellowship could not have been better!  Thanks to all who helped and was a part of this fantastic event!  We appreciate all of you!
